Youth Village

Situated in the rolling hills of the Derwent Valley, the Youth Village is at the heart of the North East region and in close proximity to many famous landmarks and attractions including Durham Cathedral, Bede’s World, Holy Island, Hadrian’s Wall, Beamish Museum and the Metrocentre.

The Youth Village, which houses a group of international volunteers living in community, provides a variety of youth ministry opportunities across schools and parishes throughout the region.

The Youth Village has recently been voted as one of 20 Centres of Excellence in Youth Ministry across all denomination in the British Isles.

Visitors to the Youth Village will enjoy state of the art facilities which include an auditorium and dining hall for groups up to 90 people. There are 55 en-suite bedrooms across four attractive chalets, a games room, spacious gardens, playing fields and a dedicated space for prayer and reflection.

In addition to the young people who are invited to use the Youth Village for retreats and camping, it also offers an ideal venue for different occasions such as receptions, adult conferences and meetings.

the youth village has been such a success and the twice i’ve been, i’ve never wanted to leave. the work that you do as a team is amazing helping us young people reach out to god and open our hearts to let out all that is holding us back. Not only that, but all of the facilities are amazing and every thing is being finished to perfection. the lord reigns down on the village and when i go i feel warm and homely. Also, a great big thank you to the chefs because their food is allways fantastic even if there is a lot of mash! :) lol. So thank you once again and i hope to be back to see you all in the very near future.
