Reason for joining YMT: To hopefully learn about my faith, to meet some lovely people, to live in beautiful County Durham.
What are you looking forward this year? All of the above!
Testimony: I’ve been brought up a Catholic but my faith really became alive at a specific point when I was about 13 at a conference called ‘New Dawn’ in Walsingham. I was prayed with and experienced the love of God so powerfully – it’s hard to describe but was a definite turning point in my faith journey.
TV Shows: Mighty Boosh, Flight of the concords, Pride and Prejudice, Strictly Come Dancing and… embarrassingly… Countdown
Movies: Some like it hot, Life is Beautiful, Motorcycle Diaries
Books: Captain Corelli’s Mandolin, Tess of the D’Urbervilles, Life of Pi, 100 years of solitude
Places to visit: South America, India
Quotations: “You limp noodle.” – Mulan (in honour of my sister)
Describe yourself: I’m pretty laid back and friendly, I love painting and drawing and anything where I’m outdoors in a beautiful place.
