The face of Christ T-shirt
The inspiration for the ‘keyhole’ design of ‘The face of Christ’ T-shirt were the words of Sr. Helen Prejean to Patrick Sonnier moments before he was executed. She said, ‘Look at the me when they do this thing to you. I will be the face of Christ for you. I will be the face of love for you’.
The design is also a re-interpretation of one of the earliest images of Christ in christian art – Jesus knocking at a door holding a lamp.
When you look at this image may it inspire you too look beyond the darkness and despair and be filled with hope. May we see the face of Christ in each other.
