A NEW MAP FOR YOUTH MINSTRY

Almost 300 adults and young people, from 70 parishes throughout the diocese, participated in this year’s Youth Ministry Conference held on 15th November in the impressive facilities of Cardinal Hume High School in Gateshead.

Bob McCarty, Director of the National Federation of Catholic Youth Ministry in the United States, challenged and inspired the adults present to discover a new map for the ‘new territory’ in which we find ourselves.

Integrating young people into the community was a key feature of the process Bob described, a community where ‘the Jesus dream’ is realised.
