How to join
The Youth Ministry Team (YMT) was set up back in 1995. Our main purpose is to communicate the Gospel using various creative means to young people. YMT is a new, radical and prophetic organisation working with young people. We present the Gospel in a lively and effective way through the use of drama, mime, music and up-to-date multimedia equipment. We are also involved in retreat and area development work and are committed to bring young people through a process of evangelisation to a place of “belonging” and “Church”.
The Youth Ministry Team carry out various activities where we present the Gospel in a language that is most effective and appealing in today’s youth culture. We follow-up this initial proclamation with Retreats at the Youth Village and other regular events which will enable the young people to share common faith experiences, grow in faith together, and develop relationships with God and each other. Finally, we support them by responding through ministry and service in their local parishes.
VOLUNTEER PROGRAMME
Each year we gather young people from all over the world from September to July to be part of YMT’s Schools and Retreat Teams. Team Members are given training in youth ministry and creative evangelisation such as drama, movement, mime, music, multimedia and effective communication. Each Team Member receives full board, accommodation at the Youth Village and a monthly allowance.
All team members undergo training before setting out on the Mission and Retreat Programme. Throughout the year there are a variety of opportunities for training and personal development.
YOUTH VILLAGE
The Youth Village is the home of the Youth Ministry Team. It houses the international volunteers living in community and provides a variety of youth ministry opportunities across schools and parishes throughout the region. The Youth Village has recently been voted as one of 20 Centres of Excellence in Youth Ministry for its faith enriching programme across all denominations within the British Isles.The Youth Village was blessed by Bishop Seamus Cunningham and officially opened by, celebrity duo, Ant & Dec.

Hi, I am very impressed the way you people are working for the people of God. I wish to join you. I am also a youth pastor of my church in Myanmar,southeast Asia . I would like to know that does your mission team travel to any country? If so, i would like to invite your team to come to our country for some training or youth program. I am leading over 100 youth in my country. We need your ministering . Thank you . God bless you .

Thanks for your posting. Our facilities are used by various groups from across the country. Generally we cater for groups and organisations or schools rather than individuals. Groups book our facilities and use our centre. If you belong to any groups that would like to plan some event here we would love to welcome you and your mam and more of your friends. I am completely glad to hear about such a youth organinization. Please let me know more about the membership of this organization. I help some youth in Gulu Archdiocese in Northern Uganda.

I really dont know what you got inside you but you guys are the best and maybe one day i can come a join YMT, because as i see it’s a great place to be in. Thank you for the food, drink and shelter you give us for the days that we come and see you. God be with you.

I totally agree with the comment above and would like to join YMT as well, I’d love to be a part of a great society like you guys, and Cody and the people in the band at the festival, were just great!
