I was lucky enough to be there Friday and Saturday and I just had an amazing time, Sister Helen and Bud are both fabulous people! Very easily admired and loved by people for simply the work they do. I don’t think there was a dry eye in the house on Saturday! Bud made me cry both days and I just don’t understand how he can stand up there and talk about his daughter without breaking down into tears! I just feel so lucky to of met them both as well as taking part in the conference. Thanks YMT

What a privilege it has been to be in the presence of such awe- inspiring people this weekend. Sr Helen and Bud Welch have both been to the darkest of places imaginable yet have emerged with such grace and wisom that has touched me in a way that I will never forget. Sr Helen is truly a modern day saint.
Thank you Fr Dermot(AKA. Squeaky Wheels) & all involved. Bless you all!

It was a pleasure to take part in the Event 09. I had been looking forward to it for a long time and I had huge expectations following the 2007 City Hall conference. My expectations were not only met but were totally exceeded. It was a true life changing weekend and I really appreciate the hard work YMT and the other organisations put in to make the Event 09 a wonderful success. My thoughts were challenged and changed, my spirituality was moved to a deeper place and my heart was enriched by the power of Christ working through the human testimony of Sister Helen, Abbot Christopher, David Wells and Bud Welch. Thanks to YMT and everybody involved.

I would just like to say that being at the conference and expernince both Sr. Helens Journey thouroughout something difficult like that shone light on a lot of aspects for me personally. Bud Welsh’s story made me realise that I need to let go aswell. Inspiring and touching event. Experiencing first hand is always more real than reading it in a book or someone else telling the story. It was a priveledge that i was a part of the conference this year. Thank you soo much for YMT and the people involved to make it happen.
